RIP Steve Jobs

"Without Steve Jobs Apple would still be only a fruit."

--------------Xorro

APPLE genius Steve Jobs died last night after a long battle with cancer.

The computer pioneer, 56, had recently looked incredibly frail after a fight with the illness.

US President Barack Obama paid tribute to the man who "exemplified the spirit of American ingenuity".

He said: "He transformed our lives, redefined entire industries, and achieved one of the rarest feats in human history: he changed the way each of us sees the world.

"The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented."

Jobs resigned as the company's chief exec in August after being on medical leave since January 17 for an undisclosed condition.

The unveiling of the iPhone 4S on Tuesday was the first time he had not been at a key product launch.

Jobs died as Walt Disney Co.'s largest shareholder after he sold Toy Story makers Pixar to them.

Comparisons were drawn between Jobs and some of history's most celebrated minds.

Movie director Steven Spielberg, one of the founders of Pixar rival DreamWorks Animation, said: "Steve Jobs was the greatest inventor since Thomas Edison. He put the world at our fingertips."

Daniel Ek, the founder of digital music service Spotify, said: "My hat off to our time's Da Vinci."

The CEO Jobs hand-picked to replace him, Tim Cook, addressed Apple staff in an email.

He wrote: "Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor.

"Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."

Grieving Apple devotees left floral and written tributes outside his home in Palo Alto, California.

He died peacefully with his family by his side.

A spokesman for Apple said: "We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.

"Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives.

"The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.

"His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family.

"Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."

Jobs co-founded Apple in a garage in 1976 and after resigning as chief exec this year stayed on as chairman.

He battled pancreatic cancer in 2004 and had to have a liver transplant in 2007.

COMPUTER pioneer has died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

His chief exec resignation letter in August was given an added poignancy after his death.

He said: "I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know."

"I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

"I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you."

Jobs has been behind some of technology's most revolutionary creations.

He transformed the music industry when the iPod was introduced on October 23, 2001.

Six years later he revitalised the mobile market with the first iPhone on January 9, 2007.

And on January 27, 2010, the iPad was announced, changing the portable computer world forever.

In August this year Apple became the world's most valuable company for the first time.

In a survey last month Jobs was said to be worth $7BILLION - or £4.5BILLION.

Celebrities paid tribute to the computing legend online on Twitter.

Jonathan Ross said: "RIP Steve Jobs. You changed the world. Sad day."

Arnold Schwarzenegger added: "Steve lived the California Dream every day of his life and he changed the world and inspired all of us."

Lord Alan Sugar remembered his Amstrad computer company competing with Jobs in the 1980s.

He wrote: "Gutted: Steve Jobs died.

Creations ... the iPod, an old Mac and iPhone

"We started our computer biz at same time and were competitors thru 80's. Great visionary. Sadly missed RIP."

Kim Kardashian said: "Steve Jobs died. He was a brilliant man."

Stephen Fry said: "Woke to the news of Steve Jobs's death. He changed the world. I knew him a little and admired him entirely. Love to Apple and his family."

Alexandra Burke said: "So sad to hear that Steve Jobs has passed away.

"What a genius. He is with the angels now. May he rest in perfect peace."

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates also expressed his condolences saying that it had "been an insanely great honour" to work with his long-time rival.

Mr Gates said: "I'm truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs' death.

"Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives.

"The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honour. I will miss Steve immensely."

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Larry Page, also spoke of Jobs' passing.

Mr Zuckerberg said: "Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend. Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you"

Mr Page said: "He was a great man with incredible achievements and amazing brilliance. He always seemed to be able to say in very few words what you actually should have been thinking before you thought it.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin added: "Steve, your passion for excellence is felt by anyone who has ever touched an Apple product. On behalf of all of us at Google and more broadly in technology, you will be missed very much."

RIP Steve Jobs. We WILL MISS YOU. :'(

Shem Davies was also 14 when he became a father for the first time.

Now schoolgirl daughter Tia has had a baby girl a week before her 15th birthday.

Last night jobless Shem - who split with Tia's mum Kelly three months after Tia was born - said he was "absolutely delighted" at the new arrival.

Bad Teacher : Review

BAD TEACHER

Xamborghini's Rating:       (1/5)

Director:
Jake Kasdan

Writers: Gene Stupnitsky, Lee Eisenberg

Stars: Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel and Justin Timberlake

Review:

Bad Teacher is a great concept that resulted in a style of humor like most of the Adult Swim cartoons you see today: When the jokes hit they hit well, but when they miss, they miss quite badly. The cast was delightful, but could only go so far with the material. As a matter of fact, it was the cast that saved the movie from being a total disaster by providing their comedic chops, their charm, and their good comic timing that you don't see enough of nowadays.

Beckham Scores Directly From Corner!

Beckham has done it yet again. This time from a Corner Kick. His amazing goal gave the LA Galaxy a 2-1 win over Chicago Fire.

The former England midfielder laid on a 58th minute opener for Landon Donovan before Chicago's Cristian Nazarith equalised.

DAVID BECKHAM produced some of his old magic by scoring directly from a corner as LA Galaxy beat Chicago Fire in the MLS.

But Beckham rolled back the years to prove nobody else can bend it like him when his ball from a set-piece deceived everyone before nestling inside the back of the net.

The win moves Galaxy five points clear of second-placed FC Dallas in the Western Conference.

Plot Holes : Transformers - Dark of the Moon

Genre:  Action | Adventure | Sci-Fi

Director: Michael Bay

Writer: Ehren Kruger

Stars: Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson

Plot Summary: The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets blah blah blah... :P

Now we move on to the Plot Holes (There are way too  many in this one.Its more like 140 minutes of a movie with some plot hole every 30 seconds. If you ask me , don't go to a theater to watch this one).

  PLOT HOLES:

  • During the plot Megatron explains that his original intent of arriving to Earth was to meet up with Sentinel Prime rather then to claim the Allspark , however this is hard to believe considering Megatron crashed landed several hundred years before Sentinel's arrival in the 1960s.

  • When the Autobots are forced to leave Earth, there are said to be nine of them. However, at this point in the movie there are eleven: Optimus, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Dino, Que, the three Wreckers, Wheelie and Brains.

Comical goal adds to ENGLAND's Misery

With three minutes to go, England were leading 2-1 when Quillan Roberts ventured out of his goal to take a free-kick just inside Canada's half.

He launched the ball forward and after it evaded a melee of outfield players, it took one high bounce before clearing the despairing dive of Jordan Pickford in England's goal.

ENGLAND'S week of international misery took a comical turn last night when the Under-17s conceded a late equaliser from Canada's GOALKEEPER.

The 2-2 draw gave Canada their first ever World Cup point at U-17 level.

At least the U-17 Three Lions still have something to fight for — unlike their U-21 counterparts (who got knocked out of the European Championship in Denmark earlier this month).

Mayans Predicted THE JAPANESE EARTHQUAKE!

Apparently, the Mayans predicted the Earthquake in Japan and therefore many fatalists are asking, could 2012 be the real deal?

Most religions and cultures share a perception that things as we know them, won’t last forever. Countless predictions have been made about how it’s all going to go down and again, most cultures and religions coincide in that it will not be a pretty thing.

Here’s where things get spooky: The last cycle or wave, the “Unity” cycle ended on March 9 2011, and the Mayans predicted it would end with a massive earthquake. The massive Japanese earthquake occurred on the 10th of March.

According to scholars who have studied what was left of Mayan writings after the Spaniards ravaged them to shreds and burned every book they could find, the Mayans used the movement of the cosmos as tale tell signs of what was going to happen to us here on Earth.

Bye Villa! Hello Cesc!

No Sacrifice, No Victory!

European champions Barcelona could opt to sacrifice their star striker David Villa, in order to finance their potential triple transfer coup.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Catalans conceded that they'll have to sell Villa, who joined the side a little over a year ago for £35m from Valencia, in order to fund a potential £91m swoop for Cesc Fabregas, Alexis Sanchez and Giuseppe Rossi. Due to the £350m debt laden on the Spanish giants, the champions have been forced to sell-to-buy.

Will they be able to play together for Barca?

Arsenal whose valuation of Fabregas is £40m, have been told that they'll have to settle for £35m for the ex-Barca youth-team midfielder. However, a cash-plus-player deal could settle the deal. Pep Guardiola's side are also the front runners to sign Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez, for a reported £27m, along with Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi for £26m.

You are never GO(o)NE(r) get CESC!

The speculation time is over .  Barcelona have officially made an  £27m bid for the Arsenal skipper which was immediately turned down.

Barca president Sandro Rossell made the verbal offer to Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis. The Catalan giants have kept their tradition of trying to get Fabregas back to The Nou Camp with this offer. But according to me this offer was very stupid as Arsenal had turned down £31m and £29m bids for Cesc last year.No doubt this bid was turned down instantly.

(Ade-by-whore got a similar price from Manchester City, then Cesc is surely worth double this bid.)

And when clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester City are ready to spill cash to get Fabregas, Barcelona really need to gear up.

The "Water" Cycle!!!!!!

Holy Shit!!!!

The Importance Of Observation

1st year students of MBBS were attending their 1st anatomy class.
They all gathered around the surgery table with a real dead dog.
The Professor started class by telling two important qualities as a Doctor.
The 1st is that NEVER BE DISGUSTED FOR ANYTHING ABOUT BODY,
e.g. He inserted his finger in dog's mouth & on drawing back tasted it in his own mouth.

Then he said them to do the same.
The students hesitated for several minutes.
But eventually everyone inserted their fingers in dog's mouth & then tasted it.

When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them and said:
The most important 2nd quality is OBSERVATION, I inserted my Middle finger but tasted the Index finger.
Now learn to pay attention.

:D

How to Catch a Lion : Very Funny

Newton 's Method:

Let, the lion catch you.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Implies you caught lion.

Einstein Method:

Run in the direction opposite to that of the lion.
Due to higher relative velocity, the lion will also run faster and will get tired soon.
Now you can trap it easily.

Musharraf, Manmohan, Aishwarya rai and Sonia in a train

Musharraf, Manmohan, Aishwarya rai and Sonia are traveling in a train. The train goes through a tunnel and it gets completely dark. Suddenly there is a kissing sound and then a slap! The train comes out of the tunnel. The women and Manmohan are sitting there looking perplexed. Musharraf is bent over holding his face, which is RED from an apparent slap. All of them remain diplomatic and nobody says anything.

Sonia is thinking:
These Pakistanis are all crazy after Aishwarya. Musharraf must have tried to kiss her in the tunnel. Very proper that she slapped him.

Aishwarya is thinking:
Musharraf must have tried to kiss me but kissed Sonia instead and got slapped.

Musharraf is thinking:
Damn it. Manmohan must have tried to kiss Aishwarya. She might have thought it was me and slapped me.

Manmohan is thinking:
If this train goes through another tunnel I will make another kissing sound and slap Musharraf again...
